What is KATANABA?
In recent years, the Japanese sword has been prominently featured in period dramas, films, TV shows,
and anime.
We accommodate requests from various companies for events, TV and YouTube appearances, and Iai
Batto-do instruction, including demonstrations of slashin tatami rolls.
Master Matsumoto, with 20 years of Iaido experience, presents performances.
To date, we have participated in numerous events, TV appearances, and YouTube videos.
We look forward to continuing to work with companies to preserve the Iai-Batto-do culture.

He worked for Reuters (British news agency) for 20 years, therafter Dutch Embassy in Japan. He ended his “businessman life of suit&tile” in 2014.
In 2019, opened Katanaba as a collaboration with Kawarana.
